“Since 2010 Arkansas Baptists across the state have partnered with local associations each year to impact lostness across the state. As missionaries gather for this One Day event, several ministries are done to accomplish this goal. These include: prayer walking, evangelism, children’s activities, block parties, home repairs, health/dental clinics, sports camps, yard work, cowboy ministries, children’s fishing derbies, and multi-housing ministries. Over these past few years, many people have invited Christ to be their savior, people have acknowledged the call to missions, and churches have grown spiritually and numerically. This event has become the highlight of the year for many people across our state. It has also made the local associations aware that this One Day event is only a beginning to something that can be an ongoing mission project at a local level. This event has spawned local “Jerusalem” mission days across the state. In times past we have had other surrounding states and BCM groups involved in this event.” (excerpt from https://www.absc.org/ministries/acts-18-one-day-mission-trip)OnOctober2ndof2021,morethan2500missionariesfromalloverthestatewill‘launch’fromCycloneStadiumin RussellvilletoparticipateinthebiggestOne-Dayevangelismeventoftheyear.2500plusmissionaries!Canyou imagine the impact that will have on the communities in our Association?Originallyplannedfor2020,theCOVID-19pandemiccausedustore-evaluatethewaywewoulddothingsandclickingonthe‘OneDay-ServeLocal’picturewillgiveyousomeinsightintohowArkansasBaptistshandledwhat Dr.SamRobertscalledourmissions‘pivot’.Anewstate-widemissionsministrywasbornandwillcontinueto spread among our Arkansas Baptist Churches.Check this page often after January, 2021 as we expect to do major updates at that time.Site Leader Tasks for One Day 2021Block PartyChildren’s SiteCowboy DaysEvangelismFishing DerbyFood DistributionHome RepairPrayer Walking Senior AdultSports CampYard Work
On October 3rd of this year, more than 2500 missionaries from all over the state were to ‘launch’ from Cyclone Stadium in Russellville to engage in the biggest One-Day evangelism event of the year. 2500 plus missionaries!
