“Churches Doing More Together”
“Since 2010 Arkansas Baptists across the state have partnered with local associations each year to impact lostness across the state. As missionaries gather for this One Day event, several ministries are done to accomplish this goal. These include: prayer walking, evangelism, children’s activities, block parties, home repairs, health/dental clinics, sports camps, yard work, cowboy ministries, children’s fishing derbies, and multi-housing ministries. Over these past few years, many people have invited Christ to be their savior, people have acknowledged the call to missions, and churches have grown spiritually and numerically. This event has become the highlight of the year for many people across our state. It has also made the local associations aware that this One Day event is only a beginning to something that can be an ongoing mission project at a local level. This event has spawned local “Jerusalem” mission days across the state. In times past we have had other surrounding states and BCM groups involved in this event.” (https://www.absc.org/ministries/acts-18-one- day-mission-trip) On October 3rd, more than 2000 missionaries from all over the state will ‘launch’ from Russellville, Arkansas to engage in the biggest One-Day evangelistic event of the year. 2000 plus missionaries! Can you even imagine the impact that will have onthe communities in our Association? Souls will be saved on that day and the ministries of the local church will be strengthened. Some will experience the joy of doing missions for the first tme and others will know the joy of doing missions as a way of life. The ‘Kingdom impact’ of this One Day will continue far beyond October 3rd and we can’t wait to see all that God will do through the combined efforts of Arkansas churches on that day. Information will continue to be added here so be sure to check back often and don’t forget to get the date on your calendar today! Churches Doing More Together!
The thirty four churches that presently make up the Arkansas River Valley Baptist Association are as dedicated to those founding principles as were the first group of congregations to identify themselves with such a title. We work closely with each other, our State Convention and our National Denominational entities to proclaim the good news of Christ’s salvation! Our Statement of Faith is summed up in the Southern Baptist’s “Baptist Faith and Message
